Career: I went straight into teaching middle school in Dallas, TX, and taught 5th grade at a Math and Engineering magnet school in St. Petersburg, FL. I have taught 5th and 6th grade for 15 years, and now I am excited to be teaching 3rd grade.

How do you envision helping students live the “Start Here. Go Anywhere.” motto?

Students will start their learning adventures with me as we dive into novels, grow their writer’s voice, and master mathematics. We will spark their curiosity in science and social studies, encouraging resilience and a love of learning. Helping them grow their critical thinking, communication and collaboration skills will help them adapt and thrive in any path they choose in the future. I hope to inspire my students to believe in their potential and see that their journey of learning is just the beginning of many exciting adventures to come.
