HT Dominates at State Certamen Tournament

The Holy Trinity Certamen teams recently competed at a Certamen tournament on November 20th with other teams from around the State of Florida.
Certamen is a fast-paced jeopardy-style buzzer game that focuses on the Latin language and Roman history and mythology. Holy Trinity turned in a dominant performance at the tournament, winning two out of the three competitive levels and finishing 2nd place in the third level. The members of the Novice team, who finished 2nd place in the tournament, are Olivia Durgin, John Mitnik, Caleb Adsit, Cal Johnson, and Iver McCorquodale. The winning Intermediate team of Matthew Nunes, Noah Bailey, Rohan Jain, and Alina Zaidi defeated Midtown Classical and St. Stephen’s Episcopal in the Finals. The winning Advanced team of Fefe Montalvo, Jonathan Nunes, Ellie Riggs, and Soham Shah defeated Oak Hall, Midtown Classical, and Timber Creek in the Finals. Holy Trinity’s Certamen teams are now preparing for multiple tournaments in the Spring.
