Holy Trinity’s tagline is: “Start Here. Go Anywhere.” How do you envision helping students to live this motto?
Holy Trinity really strives to teach the whole child - mind, body and spirit. Supporting the whole child empowers students to face new challenges that they will no doubt face in their futures. Our children will be working in career fields that have not been invented yet and finding solutions to problems that don’t yet exist. Focusing on skills such as confidence, kindness, perseverance, creativity, grit, along with strong academics, students can literally “Go Anywhere.”
What do you look forward to the most about teaching at Holy Trinity?
I am excited to become a part of the HT family! The Holy Trinity has a such a positive environment and really cares for its students, teachers and staff. That positive energy is overflowing and really makes work here such a great experience.
What is the most important life lesson you want a child to learn in your classroom?
The power of yet! We are all on a learning journey, and that just because you haven’t accomplished a task yet does not mean that you cannot or should not try and that you should not certainly give up.
What are some of your interests and passions outside of the classroom?
I am a native Floridian! I was born and raised in Brevard County. I enjoy reading novels, running, boating, the beach, shopping, and spending time with my husband and daughter.
What is the best compliment you’ve ever received or could receive as a teacher?
“I used to hate math last year and now math is my favorite class!”
If you were not teaching, what would you be doing?
I would be traveling. I love to go to new places. It is such a spiritual experience and leaves such fresh perspectives on life. So far, I’ve been to Mexico and Yucatan, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Italy and soon to be Paris. There is still so much in the world to see!
