Holy Trinity’s tagline is: “Start Here. Go Anywhere.” How do you envision helping students to live this motto?
Teaching them how to learn, how to think critically, how to communicate effectively, self-confidence, and empowering them to take intellectual leaps.
What is the most important life lesson you want a child to learn in your classroom?
Life is what you make it! Choose hard work, choose happiness, do not wait for life to come to you; you are not a victim of circumstance, you always choose your reaction.
What motivated you to become a teacher?
In high school my mom was diagnosed with cancer and my English teacher kept me on course. She held me to a high standard and supported me. She reminded me that although my mom was dying, I was on the cusp of living my own life and I need to make sure to put in the work to make that happen or I would be doubling my grief. She even came to my graduation because my family was at home caring for my mom.
