M.A. in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Florida; B.S. in Mathematics Education from the University of Florida
Ms. Milikin began her career with Brevard Public Schools as a Math and Career Research Teacher. She was with BPS for eight years before moving to Washington, D.C. where she worked in the DC Public School system as a Math instructor and LEAP leader for the past 13 years. In DC, she was responsible for a consistent four-year rise in her students’ performance on the District’s standardized tests, from 85% to 99%. Ms. Milikin owned and operated Murdock’s Bistro and Hop N’ John’s Market in Cocoa Village from 2001-2009. She created both businesses from the ground up and was responsible for the hiring, management, bookkeeping and customer-facing responsibilities for a $1.2-$1.4 million enterprise.
