How do you envision helping students live the “Start Here. Go Anywhere.” motto?
An oft-repeated quote in my History class: "Life must be lived forward, but it must be understood backwards." Students in my class “Start Here” by developing an understanding of political, social, economic and cultural gumbo that is America. They acquire a sense of place while developing a shared community of memory. They learn the stories of individuals who live responsible, joyful, interesting and heroic lives..
