College: B.S. International Tourism Policy, The George Washington University; M. S. Special Education, Autism Endorsement, Florida international University.
Career: I began my career teaching first grade 17 years ago. Soon after, I realized I had a passion for helping students with reading challenges. I pursued a Master of Science in Special Education, with an Autism Endorsement and went on to work with students who required individualized educational plans. Additionally, I became a Reading Specialist and taught students with dyslexia and other learning challenges to improve their reading skills.
How do you envision helping students live the “Start Here. Go Anywhere.” motto?
I help Kindergarten students live the "Start Here. Go Anywhere." motto by making learning fun and easy to understand, especially when it comes to building reading skills. I provide simple explanations, encourage curiosity, and help them explore new ideas through reading passages and books. By fostering a love for reading and learning, I prepare them to grow, discover, and succeed in whatever they choose to do in their future endeavors.
