"At the Lower School, the small class sizes made me feel that every student was treated as an individual. There was no hiding in the back of big classes, and my teachers tailored their approaches to students' differing needs in order to help ensure that everyone left with the necessary foundation of skills. At the Upper School, the breadth of curriculum on offer meant that in many cases I had access to more AP classes than friends I met in college who had graduated from much larger high schools. The advanced courses I took were a definite leg up as a college freshman. In many cases, I was able to either skip introductory courses, or approach a subject not as a first exposure to a topic, but as a deeper investigation of something I had already been introduced to in high school."
